Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Lowenberg, began working in the area of sports medicine as the Head Athletic Trainer at Adelphi University, before moving to Los Angeles in the early 1980s.

Since the beginning of his professional career, Dr. Lowenberg has been deeply involved in sports, most notably Track & Field, in which has participated in numerous World Class Track & Field events, including four Olympic Games, five I.A.A.F. World Championships, U.S.A. Indoor and Outdoor National Championships and multiple Millrose Games. His association with U.S. Track & Field has taken him to athletic venues on four different continents, including meets in Sweden, France, Spain, Hungary, and Israel. Most recently, Dr. Glenn E Lowenberg was in Beijing with the United Sates Track & Field team.

When not traveling for U.S. Track & Field, Dr. Lowenberg owns and operates the TLC Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center in Woodland Hills, California. His practice concentrates on sports-related injuries, physical therapy and personal training.

In addition to his work with professional athletes, and his thriving private practice, Dr. Lowenberg, a father of two, devotes many hours to the local community, especially young athletes, participating as trainer and Athletic Consultant to both the West Valley Eagles Track Club in Canoga Park, California and Sierra Canyon High School, in Chatsworth, California.

A lecturer at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, and part of the Youth Injury Seminar Series, he also lectures to local community groups, presenting his knowledge and experience, both to the layman and other medical professionals.

In his most recent endeavor, Dr. Lowenberg, wrote and created a Core Exercise Manual based upon exercises utilizing the stability ball. By creating the manual in a comic book form, Dr. Lowenberg has managed to make the exercise more accessible to the average patient suffering from back injury, as well pre and post surgical patients’ rehabilitation.
